Anyone done it? Gotta put in a new fuel pump pushrod and the store is closed. Will it work? Will it break down in the oil sufficiently?

    Advice appreciated!

  2. no , use a little grease.

  3. How about a little Vaseoline?

  4. I would definitely use a little grease over silver antisieze

  5. In A jam use Vaseline

  6. The only thing silver anti seize is good for is behind outside car door handles... unless you are the guy opening the door.

  7. White grease works perfect for this.

Any of the above will work fine. I've always just dipped them in oil and slid them in but grease or vasoline might hold it up in place so that it's easier to put the fuel pump in. Anti seize is intended for bolts that you want to be able to take back out but not for internal engine use.
