So i said there was no more updates on the flying monkey but once i decided i was taking it to the pile-up i figured i needed to take it a little farther along. So my girl freind Alex who has done a bunch of sewing and made all kinds of clothes said she would do my interior for me. But she has never done upholstrey work but had some help to get her started. So yesterday after having some needle issues and what not she made her first pleat in the driver side door panel. Im going with white vinyl on the lower panels and dark grey zodiac vinyl on the tops. the seats will be the same with a V shape of zodiac in the tops. Only the white will be pleated!

For the door panels i got some 1/4" luon(sp) plywood. we drew out the design of the fabric on the panels just to kinda help us along i guess. I have the panels screwed into place for a few days so they will hold the shape of the concave doors. that way the fabric wont be all loose when we finaly get to put the panels on the doors.

So while she was screwing around with that stuff i got into the windows. I dug out my regulators and cleaned them up and installed them Then made poster board templets for the side windows. I must of did something right on the chop cause i was able to use the templets for both sides:D

I dont have the cash or the know how for glass but i had a big sheet of lexan left over from the herpie so me and my buddy cut the windows out of that. I still have to cut down the garnish moldings and get some chrome c- channel for the out side of the doors. But the windows go up and down and every thing works great! Im sure the lexan wont last long but least i have good templates for when i can afford glass.

Well after i got done with the windows i though "Shit i dont have door popers" So i did the little trick i read in Kustoms Illistrated. I just didnt put a peice of brake line in the hole; But yea i drilled a small hole in the door where the striker is and put a small allen wrench on my key chain and now i can get into the car. And i dont have to worry about a battery dieing and not being able to pop the door. I even hid a spare allen wrench on the car incase i lock my keys in the car.

So there ya have it. ill post more when we have more done. Im hoping for the interior to be done by the pile up but she said we may not get to the back seat but thats ok. O yea im using Falcon seats by the way. a 63 four door seat up front (if you remove the two bolts holding the back down yo can fold it forward!) and a 62 falcon back seat that i stole from Alex's falcon cause i told her gassers done need back seats;) :D

    OK heres some pics

Looks Good Bryan! I'll have to borrow Alex once I'm ready to do the interior of my car. :) Hope to see it at the pileup...
