Whoaw Kustom7777 this is one interesting build for sure! Can't wait to follow the progress on this one! I took the liberty of lowering your car.... I was so curious on how it would look a little lower to the ground:) Hope you don't mind!

thats what i did when i was planning on using fins,,the quarter tapered down, and the fins would have brought the top of the quarter up to where it is now,,(hope that makes sense)...since i decided on the lincoln quarters, i was happy that i saved the piece i pie sectioned out,,,i welded it back in,,,,,

Crazy cuts that is insane, The finished product will be ridiculous. Good luck, can't wait to see the finished product.

  15. How about

    "MARTIENNE" or spelled "MARCHIENNE"?

Or "MARTIAN PRINCESS" instead of Earth Angel?

ive seen that before and thought it was cool too...

UPDATE from today: welded in some interior body bracing,,the car is structurally sound now,,no more loose body panels,,,not a fun or glamorous job,,but important, nonetheless (still have a couple more to do),,,,,,
i also cut the dip in the quarter and have the package tray mocked up...removed the glass from the doors, so i can cut the dip into those next,,,,,i lent my camera to a buddy that's selling his car,,,so no pics from today,,i will post pics mid week (should have more progress by then anyway......

heres a few pictures from the past couple of days..temporarily bolted in the seats to help determine the location of the package tray, roof, etc....raised the front fender line three inches and reshaped the cove area (lenghtened and reshaped)..decided my rear bumper with the kaiser guard exhaust will work after all,,i will need to extend the sides where it wraps around the quarter and make a wider gravel pan,,(sure glad nobody bought it when i had it up for sale,,hahah)did some figuring on the front portion of the quarter and how the door will dip and transition into the quarter,,,did a bunch of interior bracing,,still a little more of that to do,,,,,

  19. Looking good Jim!! Keep the updates coming. Is the cove going to run all the way to the front of the quarter?

    yes,,,,thats the plan so far.....
i think that would look the best

  22. I agree. I'm interested in how you will tie it into the front bumper. I always love seeing your solutions to these "problems". Although the problems seem to have been ending up in complete direction changes lately.:D

Damn. In a world of super over-restored hot rods and fomulaic 'mild customs', this project sure is a breath of fresh air.

    Go, Kustom7777, go.
