Remember my ass? It's been a while. I have a "real" job now that doesn't allow me to spend 8 hours a day on the HAMB. I am in the Collegiate sports market now.. GO VOLS! Anyway, this is a shoebox update. Remember about a year ago when I limped my ass to the day of the drags? Well I was overheating like a sunofabitch. I still posted my scorching 21 second 1/4 mile times. But I ended up trailering my car home. It's been almost a year and I finally got a chance to tear into my mess. Basically, there were a couple of water passages clogged and a couple more completeley closed. Pulled the passenger head, cleaned everything out, put everything back together and VROOMMMM! Back on the road! Big up to George for helping me out this weekend!!!! I washed a year off of dirt off her this evening and took her for a drive around the lake! Smooth shit, like whiskey... Planning on lowering the front end 3-4 inches before pistons and paint! It's on like king kong from the house of dong! The HAMB a hat... put it on! HC
Dude. I can't believe that my post lasted longer than 27 seconds on the first page... Remember when posts would be on the first page for days? Are you going to the drags? I'm ready to have drinks with everyone at the Cont! hc
Damn dude, I was wondering where the hell you have been. Glad you have the shoebox fixed. I'll probably see ya at the drags.
OK, how would you do it on my shitty, zero cash allowance? Cut coils? Buy smaller coils or put two fat chicks on the hood? hc
Yeah, cut em. It's free! Ask Revhead (George) how to do it. He's got experience cutting the coils on a shoebox, and has got a dremel tool you can use for it
From what I read, he wasn't happy with his cut coils... For reals, what should I do? I want the front down at least 3 inches! hc
Cut'em. stock spring are cheap enough that if you don't like it, you can always go back. You could also drop the pockets, but I wouldn't do that more than an inch or so
