Projects Shoe Horn a BB Mopar in a '46 dodge

    anyone stuff a big block mopar in a 39 - 47 dodge truck?
    i picked up a 413 and 727 trans.
    what issues did you encounter with this swap and did you recess the fire wall and move radiator forward?
    any details mucho appreciated

    No but have a 440/727 to go into mine.

    not really the same. but i put a 426 and a pushbutton trans. in a '40 ford coupe. not really any fire wall problems. starter to steering box issues. i moved my steering box but i think a mini starter would have fix that. oil pan to cross member issues. pick-up truck oil pan and pick-up tube fixed that. had to move the radiator foward about 2". i think because i didnt mess with the fire wall.

    Steering box is in the way on mopars---a rack and pinion cures it

    what rack n pinion works best on these?
    doesn't matter still have to fab it?

    '46 Dodge truck truck? Keeping the straight axle?

    R&P works in the cars with IFS but not so well on a solid axle.

    You might start looking at the threads on installing a Jag IFS in pickups, there are several...

    I used a rack out of a Chrysler K-car--was laying there-----rear steer lots of space
