sheet metal welders...WTF am I doing wrong

    Flux core welding is pretty close to the same thing as stick welding, just the flux is inside the wire instead of outside. When you switch to solid wire you are basically switching to tig, just a roll of filler instead of single 36" pieces. So you must switch polarity.
     
  6. When I changed over from flux core to shielding gas, I also changed to 0.23 wire. I am no welder but the more I do, I seem to grind less. As long as I have a solid ground connection .
