OK, so the SEMA show isn't really a traditional parts kind of place, but I just figured you guys would like to have a look. Very cool Indian Larry tribute bike, some cool stuff on Brian Fuller's bike and then there was the copper bodied 40 convert........not traditional but cool anyway. They should've just brushed the body rather than polishing it. Anyway, enjoy the pics. http://public.fotki.com/CraigMorrison/2005_sema_show/
great pics, for a minute i was thinking you were stalking Art Morrison because he was in every other picture. Then I figured out it was you. Craig I didn't know you were on the HAMB Fullers' bike was incredible in person! Thanks for sharing your pictures. Brick Casper WyoTech
Awesome pics Craig, I really like that modern looking modified. Someone else posted a pic of it the other day, I wouldn't mind seeing more of it. grumper
It is a Thom Taylor designed car. Very cool, but with the way it was placed it was tough to get any more pics of it. Good lookin piece.
I was fortunate enough to have Dan give me a nice close up tour of Ashley's Roadster, so I was able to snap a few detail shots. The photos do not do this one justice. A hand made wedge shaped radiator is placed behind that polished silver grille to achieve the stance/proportion, and the spartan interior shows the incredible craftsmanship.
Here is one of the 3 window cutaway, I will try resizing the roadster jpegs again, it would not let me send the first time.
Here are some pictures of the radiator. Chopt 34 is right, it is an awsome piece, the craftsmanship is superb. I have a lot of the build pictures that I was unable to show prior to the car making it's debut. BB
I have a few but I shot in hi-rez and I need to put post them to my website. Here is one from outside in the tent area.
I saw the Gas Monkey trailer in the parking lot, but I never saw anybody around it to beg and grovel too.
i just got back home from SEMA about 3 hours ago. what a looooong gawddamned drive. pulled a 52' gooseneck trailer out there for my buds at Airlift. i had a great time on their dime but still managed to spend about $300 of my own money, and sadly NONE of it on hookers. thought i was propositioned my first night in town. i've also never been happier to be home. 8 days in Vegas is too much! i was gone 2 weeks total and i realy missed my puppies . Ashley Webb's little roadster is the cats ass!! i saw it a year ago at their house and she showed me all the little details at that time. Dan does some amazing work. it was great to see it all finished up. i'd been meaning to get out there and check the progress since my last visit but never made it. it was a pleasant surprise to come across it in the Ford display. you have to admire the craftsmanship in that copper 40 Ford, but the tonneu cover just looked wrong, in my opinion. i guess they had to do something to hide the mid mounted Ford GT motor though. had a great time out there. hung out with Triumph Terror one night, met my hero and soul mate Jeem and had a beer with Bob K.
Dan Webb From Burton, MI. Helped out quite a bit the lat couple weeks. Got it 'done' 10:30 Wed. nite and it left 9:00 Thurs. morning. Really cool little car. Weighs 1461 lbs and has well over 500 hp. Oughtta be fun.
I know I am asking alot of questions but for some reason this little thing has me intrigued. Anyone got build pics? grumper
I have several but I don't have a scanner. Pretty cool. Chassis is .090 chromoly, handformed steel body, the grille is silver, all the 'shiny' is nickel plated and damn near every fastener is custom turned on cnc lathes.
2.3 Ford 4 cyl w/several Indy car parts internally. Dry sump oil system, funny car fuel pump, forged rods, pistons, crank, etc. World class T5 w/hydraulic clutch, chromoly driveshaft, and Winters Quickie w/full floaters and CNC'd center section. Hope the trans will hold up.
Is this the same three window cut away that Shaw was talking about on here awhile back that got some so stirred up? It is definately cool. I would love to see some other shots of it.
I went to SEMA in 83 & 84 when I worked at Kenz & Leslie. It looks a lot different now! Man, SOOO much has changed since then. Back then pro-street and mini trucks were all the rage and "performance" parts for shit-box imports were hardly even thought of.
Here are some shots from a different site: http://shows.autospies.com/gallery/shows.asp?manu=&cat=&thisPage=27&galleryId=30 The only good ones are page 27(Norm), page 36(Rat dragster), page 44(streamliner) otherwise alot of cars and gals with big front sumps. Chris Nelson Kansas
thanks guys and maybe girls for the nice comments on the wedge roadster, this is the owner(yes a 18 year old girl for those who don't belive) I will post some good pictures of the car from the photo session a few weeks from now... The car has been traveling to many diffrent place latley it's never home.. But the car is going to be on the cover of the new Dayton Wire Wheel Catlog, the 33rd edition of the wonderful Rodders Journal, and Hot Rod Magazine... If you have any question about the car feel free to ask, but please be nice or I won't be so nice to you.... Drive it like you stole it Ash
Hi Ash: Good to see you on here, who showed you this place? Pete did I'll bet. If you can teach your dad how to type maybe he will join up also. See you in March. This place loves your car and all of the work that went into it. There will prolly be lots of questions. I know how Dan feels about the Autorama but people are gonna ask. Are you planning on having it in Detroit? Later BB P.S. I suppose if I get pictures of the 2 new one's I'll be swon to secrecy again.
