You are wrong about that and I wouldn't complain except that it would just start that long roll down the hill to no modified or old cars allowed except in museums and parades. That said seatbelts are proven lifesavers and you'd be a fool not to have them in anything you drive unless you are always alone. Why belt in the kids when in a bad situation Dad won't have a chance to drive out of the trouble IF he's not held behind the wheel at the controls by a seatbelt? If the driver is not in control...everyone is on the slab.
Wow . . . 50 mph is plenty fast to to f@*k you up pretty good. Take a look at these pics of my injuries after a 35 mph accident in my Model A. I was hit head on and the other driver was estimated to be going between 40-45 mph. That's an impact of approximately 75-80 mph. So let's take your estimated top speed of 50 mph, now add 50 mph to that in a head on impact. I don't know about you, but I'd want belts in a 100 mph impact. http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k80/MNBullyBoy/Model A Wreck/?start=all
Got a set in the back of the 53 for the kid..soon 2 sets up front for the Mrs. and me in the A im building..definetly the plan to have em, from the get go
I seen hot rods that were hit hard and some rolled, most of them had doors that flew open on impact. No belts were do you think you'll end up ?
