Folks Of Interest Scott Haines (aka B-Scott Studios) Stray Kat 500 Inspiration award.

When we feel like it, during the Stray Kat 500 we give away a special award to guys that have inspired us through out the years. This has turned out better then I had imagined. Nothing kooler then to publicly thank the guys that have meant a lot with our hobby. This year we will be acknowledging Scott Haines (aka B-Scott Studios, aka Roadster Piot). He has inspired so many people with his art, his hard core Hot Rod attitude and his active Hot Rod family life. It has been a Blessing to know the Haines family.

Please join us this Saturday to thank him for his dedication to our hobby.



The Inspiration award ceremony will be at 1pm Saturday afternoon in Lion's park.

Well, crap. I had a last minute change of plans and am not going to be able to make it this year. Really bummed to miss B-Scott's induction.

 

Very deserving is an understatement.

 

Since Jeff posted artwork that B-Scott has done that he has been involved with, here's the killer work that he has done for the Midwest Forty Ford Gatherings that I have hosted the past two years and upcoming in September of this year. I always like to give Scott the freedom to do whatever he wants for the shirts, and am always blown away when he sends me the artwork for approval. This year, I did request a yellow convertible with Halibrands on it, and we had discussed the fact that the Forties Limited of Orange County discontinued their Forty Ford Day event out in California, so this year's artwork has a California vibe to it as a tip of the hat to them for doing their event for so many years.

 

I have more t shirts with B Scott on them than all of the others. His level of artistic talent is way above most. The car shows that use him have a tendency to get my money for a shirt. I spent part of an afternoon with him and a mutual friend at Augusta. He said little but listened very well.

 

I've purchased and worn a number of T-shirts through the decades with artwork by B. Scott. He is worthy!

 

Good job, Mick! Recognition for guys who deserve it!
