SBF 260 Dwell and Timing

Hey all! Trying to get my Falcon timed up and was wondering if anyone had the numbers on a 1963 stock 260 ci small block Ford with a 2 speed fordomatic tranny. I was told the dwell was 23 but I'm not 100% sure and would also like to know what the timing should be set at.

My book says 27 degrees dwell with 10degrees advance with an automatic and 6 degrees advance with a stick. .015 if you use a feeler gage on the points.

I think most tune books called for 28/32 on the dwell for most of the Ford V8's in those years.

 

Mine (Original Ford Book) says 27 degrees of dwell, .016 point gap, 6 degrees BTDC @ 500rpm for auto (4 degrees for stick) and 10 degrees max vacuum advance
