Technical SBC NUMBERS DON'T JIVE

    Seems like the 300 horse was dropped by then, the SS Camaro introduced the 350/300 so the 327 was down rated to 275. A friend bought a new 327/275, 4 spd. Nova and I’m pretty sure it had ‘462 heads and for sure it had a Quadrajet.
    In any event, nice find!

    Either way, I am pleased to have found what appears to be an unmolested 327. I am going to do new oil and filter with new plugs, wires, and distributor and see if I can't start her up this weekend.

    462's were the predominant head for the 67's, at least in the upper hp range, late 67 production could also have a "291" casting numbered head.
    The 67 Chevelle and Nova L79 option was rated at 325 hp.

    Out of the pickup beds? Or are the cross-breed swappers in your area really into that combination?

    That's what I'd do....
    Fel-pro gasket sets are not that expensive...;)
