    Here we are. I got a 53 210 no top that I just got road bound 1 day before Roundup. So I got a complete road test driving it to Austin from Houston with no problems. It has a 231 V6 in it bagged and will probably never be finished, in need of a good shifter so this works out pretty good.

    KIRK!'s old desorta modified project (29 desoto). Will get a banjo or possibly quickchange rear, TH350 trans or powerglide?, and a 250 chevy inline. Most likely no windshield, half tonneau cover, bucket seat, 32 dash, steel 16" rims, 40 ford front brakes, dropped axle, possible hood, headlights etc.

    [​IMG]hey after years of drooling every time i saw a rod on the rod. i finally found a model a coupe body on ebay. it was a western body and it was only a couple of hours away. talked the missus into letting me buy it. its been a struggle, only thing automotive i've ever done. found a flathead and the rest is history. my goal is to take my first ride on june 29th (birthday), its closer than the pix shows. hope the pix comes out.

    It's cold in my 60 Ford, and I need to warm it up with a sweet shifter. Running a fe engine and switching to a c6, it's all about the gas mileage, might even paint it green.

    Here is some pics of my current project. 53 Chevy - Swapped in a 350/350 with a 10 bolt. Painted the roof & wheels antique white. Its getting close, finish the wiring, exhaust & drive shaft & she's ready to roll!

    Trying to get my '53 up and on the road. Talk about perfect timing. I had to sell my Model A last summer, finally stabilized my finances and bought this 210.

    Seller had paperwork dating back to the original purchase paperwork (some of it anyway), but let it go cheap enough for me to pick up because it wouldn't go into reverse or park.

    So I tear into the project and find someone had half assed installed a Mr Gasket 3 speed universal shifter onto the original cast iron powerglide. So, I rigged up a shifter that looks like it belongs in a rat rod for the mean-time.:eek: Also just got in a Leisure shift knob, and NEED something to attach it to!

    So, do I make the list?

    My 56 pickup is having a transplant..........its major .......a 292 big inline 6 with Clifford intake a fatboy Carter 600 carb Rorty 3into1 x 2 pipes by Clifford HELLO NEIGHBOURS IM STARTING MY TRUCK !! 2 1/2 inchers straight into Cherry bombs should do the trick....Gm 200 4R 4 speed with a neat lockup should keep me crusin speed up and my Rpm down......Hmm Need a shifter.....Help!
