STOLEN.. San Berdoo Roadsters, club plaque. If anyone sees this, for sale or in another person's possession, know that it's not theirs. It was just restored, and the original owner has owned it, since 1961. Any info, is greatly appreciated. The pic is of my Tshirt, which is what the actual plaque, resembles. You can private message me, or call @ 909/ 659-8797 Jay Thanks. It means a lot to the owner
Whoever took it should be hanged.I didn't know there was a club by that name there and I grew up in San Berdoo!
It was started by Jim harbor, of Harbor Construction. Jim Kitchen, the owner of the plaque, is the last active (SCTA) member. I was honored to meet Harbor, last year, up at El Mirage.
He had just cleaned it up and repainted it. Made it a lot more noticeable, which in this case.. was a bad thing!
Giving this a bump....in the hopes that the IDIOT who stole this from it original owner is STUPID enough to display it for the world to see and someone can get it back to where it belongs! Disheartening to hear of things like this, true cars guys/gals know the history and "value" of what things like this mean and symbolize, to steal it is bad enough but from someone who's had it since 61' is shameful! RANT DONE!
A$$HOLE probably has it hanging with the rest of his absconded collection of things dear to others... Makes him 'matter'. These creeps will cling to their stolen treasures to the death. "MIIINE..." It's actually a sickness. ('covetous syndrome', or something similar; can't remember) 'Kleptomania' defined is the compulsion to steal something. (thrill of getting away) Afterward, the item means nothing. This item was/is a 'trophy'. Recovering it would be through a friend of his who saw it in his possession...
