Ryans Coupe

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 4eva4banger, Sep 8, 2003.

  1. As I live down here in NZ and am a long way from the action can I please get an update on Ryan's coupe? Photos would be nice too?

  2. If you surf other people's threads and not just ask for this and that every other post... you'd probably would have seen ryan's coupe in a half dozen posts over the last few weeks...
    just my opinion.
    Sam.

I just assumed you were talking about the A coupe when you used the word "updates". I'd call the '38 done.

Last I heard plans had changed and it was going on deuce rails.

    Damn good read there, C9.

  10. Damn, If you're offended by a little critiscism you won't last long around here.
Try the search function a couple times before asking next time.

C9, that was one fine piece of writing. Coincidentally, I happened to be listening to an internet radio station playing nothing but surf music as I was reading it...seemed appropriate in a way. At the very least, it made a nice soundtrack to a great hot rod story!

I had understood the original question to be, what's happening with Ryan's Model A coupe that Keith Tardel started a long time ago. Sooo... what's happening with the Model A?

  18. Hey Mike,

Good to hear from you! Just been working on the pick up etc, busy at work. Involved with another magazine now called Jammin Gears. Same format as NZ Rodder before they went big shiney and modern.

What have you been up to? How is the club going?

38's were only ugly cuz we had so many 40's, 39's, 34's, lots of fat fenders to choose from and were swamped with shoeboxes and Chevys of the early 50's & late 40's.
Hell, even a few forward looking guys ran Mopars of the 40's.
You ain't heard nothin until you've heard a flat six running a cam grind that probably ought to be in a fueler.

Now though, and not just cuz you got one, I think the 38's are one of the greatest ones ever to come down the pike.

Making in my mind, the only ugly 38 the one that's pointed at you....
