Today was our Run and we had a great time. The scenery was great, the weather was perfect, and my hot rod was the only one to break down! I'm still not sure whats wrong with mine, but we were able to come up with a band aid repair and I drove it all the way home with no issues. I'll dig into it in the next day or two. We covered around 100 miles of Humboldt County's lost coast and picnicked in the redwoods. I've lived here my whole life and still think it is pretty cool to be around these huge trees. On to the pics! Cape Mendocino light house area Bridge at Honeydew, Ca The view of tall trees from the hot rod with the top off Lunch I have lots more routes for coming events in my head. Plan to come with us next time.
Hey! I see Winston and Eloise made it!!! They are the nicest people I've ever met within the car hobby, bar none. I've also seen that Willys pickup around lately, it looks great. Man, I should borrowed my brother's sedan and went with you guys. Maybe next year. Jim
I was thinking about you folks while at work today, seeing it finally sunny in McK, wondering how the weather was for your run. Man was I jealous, was so ready to go! Realities of a new job. Who owns the Willys pickup? Bring pics & stories to Toni's, if yer off & able to, next Friday (the 7th). Hey or sooner, maybe meet up in Eureka Monday? You did so much footwork puttin it together and especially publicizing it, Im glad it was a success. -- HC
The Willys is out of Redway. Hope to see you at Toni's. Winston and Eloise are very cool folks. And yes you should have most definitely come with us!
Man that looks like a great run you put together. Nothing like driving them on some good roads. Wish I could have been there, timing just wasn't right. maybe next time. I hope you can make it down this way for one of our runs again. see you on the road some time.
Dave, you were just the push I needed to do this run. I had such a good time at your's last year. We will definitely be doing more of these. We have tons of killer back roads.
E CLAMPUS VITUS! Wow! I haven't heard that in a while. Used to go to the Tulare County chapter 1855. We dedicated monuments like the one above to what we felt were places deserving of recognition for their historical importance. And then get really drunk... Sure wish there was a chapter out here in Florida.
