Here is the Rupp go kart I just finished, twin west bend 580 2 strokes, candy red paint, pearl white upholstery by Stichbitch
WOW.... that is really nice !! Reminds me of my younger days.... here is my brother sitting in my Rupp kart.. appx. 1968.
You must have another "kill switch" other than that one back by the "live" axel ?? If not move it up by the seat bottom outa sight . just my two cents worth. I had Go-Kart with twin Clintons and both had "stuffers" would beat most twin WB's or Mac's , it had fuel injectors ( Steen ?) Metalic Blue with mags and slicks like yours

Beautyfull, I was IKF from '64 to '74 ran c-open and b-stock enduro, was a kick in the pants and not a lot of bucks. Most people do not know how fast those little screamers can go.
Sick! My dad raced karts in the early '60s as a kid when he lived in Florida. He had a Ala-Kart and a Dart A-Bone. He bought another Rupp Dart kart and a MC92 when I a toddler back in the mid '70s just to play with, later while I was in elementary school bought a (then) NOS 101b. I rode it a few times as a kid. He still has it,and has recently discovered the vintage kart scene. He's got it back out and running again. He'd get a kick out of seeing your kart.
Man, I remember going to go-kart races when I was in high school and watching those guys with the West Bends and Mac 91's and 101's run so much faster than the B&S 5's. Those guys mostly had Rupp's but, occasionally, some guy would show up with a MarGay. I can still smell the methanol......and feel it burning my eyes. sigh.
great project. Something similar and a mini bike are on my list for the next couple of years. Are you going to take it for a spin or just let it be garage art????
