Running no hood, what to cover engine with?

  4. Keep a roll of aluminum foil in your car, tear off a large sheet for each carb and form it around each one (over the top), same thing for over the distributor. Won't melt like plastic when the engine is hot and it will stay on when its windy. When done with it, crumple it up into a ball and throw it at your buddies, stuff it in their tail pipes, put it on their antennas, etc.
     
  5. just get air cleaners that don't funnel the rain into the carb - vaphead sells little dome aircleaner that work great. you don't need no stinkin hood. I haven't run mine ever. The motor will run right on the thermostat temp while its pouring. I have three deuces too.
