Thanks to everybody with advice for my little truck continuing to idle after turning the key off. Those of you who suggested checking the electric fan hit the nail on the head. I had it running yesterday, warm enough for the fan to be on and shut it off. It ran for about 8 seconds, then shut off. I fired it back up, waited for the fan to come on and pulled the fuse to the fan. Turned the key off and it shut off immediatly. I'm thinking that as the fan is still spinning, it becomes a generator for a few seconds and feeds back through the fuse block. I would have never thought to look at the fan as the problem. Thanks for the help. I'm off to the parts house for a relay!

So did you add a diode in the circuit to keep it from backfeeding?
