I've used black silicone & NP-1(sonoborn)in colors on small or not often seen areas,but on a door to body it would be hard to make it look decent.Most carpet/trim,interior auto shops have a good selection of wetherstrip styles.
you fail to mention what car you need it for..There are several mfgs of door wearther stip seals other than factory
Steele Rubber Products makes replacement weatherstrip for hundreds of applications and for a price they will custom make stuff. They also sell universal stuff by the foot. Most of the restoration supply people sell rolls of the older cross section stuff used on older cars.
