The Des Moines, Iowa, State Fairgrounds is the perfect place for an automotive event...that grounds are 435 acres large, with another 160 acres for camping...there are city blocks for cruising and lots of trees and grass. The only other place as good is the St. Paul fairgrounds...it is also massive...
