Event Coverage Royboy goes to the 2013 Stray Kat 500

I have never been to this show. I registered this year but my work schedule wouldnt let me go. It looks like you just park anywhere you can find a place?? I have seen cars parked in the grass at the car wash in the city streets.

There are some areas where you can't park but for the most part its a pretty laid back atmosphere. It's all about hanging out and socializing with other car folk. Come up next year and say hi!

Pinup Contest Time! Jennifer James of 232 Studios did a great job getting 12 lovely ladies lined up for the Miss Kitty Title. Click on the images to see them all in my galleries, I'll only show a couple here due to the 20 image limit per post.








Then it was off to the warmth of the VFW so we could honor Ron Myers with the Inspiration Award. Thanks Ron for your decades (and I mean a crapload of them) of time and effort into striping everything that you can get lines on.

im going to be really honest, Im not into about 99% of the shows out there but youve got me sold on this one for next year Travis. looks like a blast!

 

Tim, I'm glad to hear it! You'll be much closer next year too. My whole goal for these threads is that right there, to encourage more kool folks to show up. Thanks for gettin it!

 

Just a heads up, the SK500 is not that good of a show, Travis just makes It look kool.

I was there, and it was rather cool. Chilly, in fact. The event wasn't bad either!

 

This is a one of a kind show. Well, not really a show. It's a gathering of rod and custom NUTS. This is a gathering of all that is sacred and kool. Micky puts his heart and soul into this event so everyone has a good time. I'm hoping next year will be a little warmer. Micky, when can we register for 2014?????

baked this year we froze. I will see if we can get somewhere in the middle...........We are
already taken pre-regs for next year and the freebee shirts will be Mechanic shirts. Just

Thanks! and thanks for bringing out a whole bunch of kool rides! I have more photos and will be posting more but I'm thrashing on an article for a magazine right now. Gotta pay some gas and hotel bills so I can continue to do all of this show coverage! Hopefully tonight I can get back to editing/posting shots here.
