Wow D.N and Robbie, you have done your mathematics on those hings... Wondering if you will make them more vintage look from that billet look? Good job anyway!

Jocktherock yes. I will. But I needed something that swung away and the raised. Plus staying compact. So those were our best options.

A little update. We are still working hard on the hood. I'll show picks next week of that but until then here's one of the patch panel and the vent welded in. Thanks again to my buddy robbie for the help.

    Big whoops I know.

The two pieces have met each other. The gaps on this hood sucks. But it will look sick when done.

Today's progress. I rounded the bottom door edges and finished the passenger door gaps. Robbie did more of his magic on making that hood look sweet. Hopefully by the end of next weekend the hood will be fully welded and we can work on its gaps.

  12. I thought you´d be doing rounded corners on the hood? Or is that part of the plan already?

James D, so I am going mad on that. Not to talk shit about anyone else's car but the square corner on Johnny D's 40 Cadillac kills me. But I'm going to run a belly like trim on my Buick so I think I am going to have to let it stay. Ugh! Now you got me thinking about it again. Lol

  14. Not sure what you can do aside from raising the shut line so the trim stays on the body. What a lot of work though!

Another Sunday down. A little more progress. The hood does go up and down but I didn't take any pictures of it up. The right front fender gap is going to need some work. But whose afraid of a limitless work.

A big thanks again to my friend Robbie. It's coming out nice.

Jocktherock thanks but that's Robbie's welds there, not mine. He's really good.

The hinge pockets are coming out nicely. Robbie is killing it. Here's a little progress pic.

Robbie is killing it on the hood. He makes me feel like my metal work looks like a kindergartener did it. I'm really happy.
