He can’t lose the kitchen. That’s where the spark plug wires are stored.

I saw the posts about this being for sale. It’s cool that it’s going to a really good home.

I like the current colour better than the original green.

Great color and interior, the tail lights and quarters are spectacular.

Was it white at one time ?
did Ron buy it new ?

THANKS, Seem like Don Pennington had it when it was white.

I might be mixed up with Chen, King, Hing, Ting, or others?

The magazine article in feb 66 popular customs leads you to believe that he bought it new. I don't know if it was ever white. was candy green on the magazine cover

Man, I just saw this. I thought it was one of those "anyone seen this missing custom" threads. Congrats Mark, she's a beauty.

  7. To my knowledge of the car, it was never white. Although my knowledge of the car only goes back to about 60/61 and it was the green by then. I dont know exactly when the nose done, but in 62 it still had stock headlights, but had the tail lights done. It was green up till like 1999/2000. Car had a engine fire that burnt the paint on the tops of the fenders and hood. So the car was restored and then painted the orange it is now.

Most of what I know of the car are from talking to guys about Taboo and its early life. Both cars were very popular in and around Portland and were always at the few popular drive ins in the early 60's

Wow, awesome pics and cars. If you did those pics in black and white and got rid of the white truck you would think you were back in the 50's.

  13. If I was cruising down your street with those cars out there I'd be in the ditch across the road!

Those three cars belong together, a perfect set. And as much as I'd like to see the '56 in it's original green paint, it's kinda cooler this way, stands out more next to the other green car and the blue.

It is nerve racking buying a car without seeing it but I am totally thrilled with the quality of the 56. It is a very nice car

I think that the Blue one is the "prettiest" but the interior of the of the new one is just mindboggling to me.

I kinda thought the first new photo Mark would post after the car arrived would be of the car in his spot at Scotty's. :)
