Wow, I must have left just before it opened up again. We got there around 8:30-9:00 and left around 11:30. It wasn't pretty but wasn't raining, the vendors were opening the sides of their canopies some. Got a couple things and looked at the cars. The first band, The James 3 Trio- I believe was their name played some good music. Hope everyone had a good time.
Larry and his help had their hands full with the mud for sure, BUT did a great job keeping things rolling smooth.
    Looking forward to next year!

  2. A wet day at the Showdown is still better than working! Props to all the diehards. Went up Friday evening, cars were starting to come in. Bought a couple of shifter knobs for the collection, because you just can't have too many of those.

  7. It was a good time and well worth the drive, just for the museum. The mud blew, but from what I understand, and from what people were saying that were there "its the showdown. It supposed to rain!" I'll be back next year and for the drags in September.

Getting ready to wash my car and my son is home washing his. We went down in a group of 30 cars from western Pa. We all had a good time despite the weather. Friday was beautiful and saturday was okay from 9 to about 1:30. It rained almost the whole way home so the cars got washed off pretty good. Thanks Larry, we will all be back next year. 2016-05-22 10.53.42.jpg

  12. I just got home. I had to stopped by Md. to see the Grand kids. lol, I had a great weekend. I would like to think Larry and crew for all their hard work. My Knuckledragger friends for putting up with me. And all you die hard Hot Rodder's that drove your cars! I spent a lot of time eating fries and listening to the band.lol The rainiest day at the showdown, still beats a sunny day at your average car show. I would have liked to meet a few more of you though, Maybe next time. And THANKS Jason and wraymen for your great photos!!! Ron...

We made the trip from Buffalo NY in the 59 Ford Wagon with my Buddy Joe in his 40 Plymouth Kustom. Had a blast despite the rain. Had a pretty wet ride home in the rain Saturday evening. Plan to make it back next year. Met some cool people and saw some great rides. Hats off to the guys who drove their rides around n that muddy track!

  27. ^Heard a Coors drinker tired of A/Busch drinkers' ribbing once say "exactly how does Budwiser get the Clydesdales to piss so exactly in those white & red cans?"

  28. I agree but I'll make an exception for Don...then I'll just switch them out for Yeungling or Sam Adams..
