Can't make it this year, but have a video from a couple years ago of us exceeding 100 mph on the back straight during the Saturday night track time.
gary, last year me and tudor did a run like that, had the ol wagon up around 105 to 110 at the end of the back straight.. We were moving, I was trying to catch Tudor as he started about 10 cars ahead of me.. dont think I will push it that hard this year... Nitro, I will be there friday and Sat. what will you be in.
My son and I will be there Sat/Sun in the yellow 60s style 31 coupe. He will be parked in either the "young-guys" or "home-grown" area Sat. Morning. Holler if ya see us. Dale
i'll be down in charleston fri/sat. may try and leave early sunday and drop in for a quick walk around. boones how long does it take you to get up there from your area? i may be to broke but can probably get in and park for free via press passes so i guess if thats parts free i just can't buy anything. fronting thousands of $$$ to supply people with linc. buttons has put a big dent in my spending pattern. who knows if i make it sunday it'll probably be a one time around, shoot a few pics, and ditch thing...ken....
Dale, there will be a garage grown area I believe, for our style cars, may be a good place to hang out... lucky, look for my going the opposite way on Sunday morning
Count me in!! I live West of Charlotte about 30 clicks , so its a short drive for me . Could not get my 26 Track T finished in time (maybe early Spring 05) Got a shopping list of last-minute items to find. I'll be on the lookout for any HAMB'rs
Hey, I'll be there with the family all day on Saturday. We plan to turn some laps under the lights as well (spectated last year). Looks like we'll be driving the '47 down with a "for sale" sign in the window. Major layoffs at work have us rethinking our "2 hotrod family" status. Look for a post soon in the HAMB classifieds. Anyway, if folks want to hook-up, shoot me a PM and we can exchange cell numbers. Looks like the weather should be good, if not a bit warm (80 degrees for Saturday). This will be our first GG event (other than slipping into the grandstands at night last year to watch the cars run), so would definitely be fun to hang with some HAMBers. -murph
