Could one of you kind gentlemen please post a copy of the Rod & Custom Article that covers 'how to build a drive shaft exhaust'? My eBay, Hamb, and Google searches have turned up squat. I believe the article was originally published at the end of 2005 (Oct, Nov or Dec), but I'm not entirely sure. Thanks in advance! Jg
No luck so far you could try http://backissues.com/titles/Rod-and-Custom-Magazine/421 R-U-Sure its in r&c and not some other car rag
I would like to see it also. I had an old book that showed how to make a complete dragster frame out of drive shafts. And even which ones to use. But like everything else good, I lost it.
I used a '35 or '36 drive shaft, it is a tapered at both ends tube, got one under my mailbox, the box spins around when the plow or a baseball bat hits it...
are you saying LIKE this----> https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/anyone-running-old-driveshafts-for-exhaust-tubes.342037/ .
yes it does Henry... IMO... Marty, I don't know, looks like a smaller diameter ... looks like the diameter stays the same for too long...
How to build a traditional hot rod by Vern Tardel describes the process. Sent from my SM-G935F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Sorry just getting back. No I don't remember much about it. But once I did start thinking. I believe it was actually a pocket size magazine. Will check my uncles stash in the next couple of weeks. Might have given it to him.
