So the Nor Cal show season kicked off this weekend with The Road Zombies Car Club BBQ... Its a small show, although they announced over the PA that they had 300 people through the gate & just over 70 cars. Its in the garden at The Elks Lodge, they have a massive BBQ & supply burgers, dogs & water for everyone, and most of the people who attend bring stuff to share. There was a TON of food. Most people at the show know each other, so there is a good, mellow atmosphere & no 'issues' like some of the things that have plagued shows like VLV etc. Anyway...on with the crappy pics.... Checking settings before leaving home... Fellow club member Sean's daily driver '63 Nova, it runs a triple carbed inline 6 and a Saginaw 4-speed Some striping Fun toy.... The back end of the T, and Notch Gonzales Taco Bat truck in the background View down one side of the grounds... More fun toys.... Our hosts... Skoty Chop's INCREDIBLE '35 Plymouth 'The Redeemer' and the back Tough Ford Coupe... Roll cage, aircraft harnesses, slicks & a Max Wedge...Killer Belvedere The '32 DeSoto is owned by Bill from the Road Zombies My friend Karl's almost completed Model A, he's a fellow Englishman..but lives here now.. My 2 favorite cars at the show... My buddy Nino's freshly finished ex-race car, it raced at Fremont & Half Moon Bay back in the day, its running a strong 327 & a 4-speed. The car is stunning, its just been photographed for Rod & Kulture Magazine (I think it was that mag...I had been drinking...a lot...) Oh...and his Model A Pictures cannot do these cars justice...
