I just had my air ride suspension reworked on my 50 Caddy, we c- notched the rear frame, so it will get down about 23/4" from the rocker to the floor when aired out, my question is how high should ride height be to be safe , I've always heard 3-4" off the ground, is this rule of thumb, and if so, does that mean 3-4" from the bottom of rockers or where should I measure from?

  2. Ride height is somewhere in the middle of the suspension travel and high enough to clear the curb on your driveway.

Besides that, the only real important thing is to make sure it will still roll aired out (just incase :p)

Don't know many that comply to that rule......including my own car!

Correct ride height is when you bottom out occasionally :D .

Most of your double convoluted bags have a ride height between 5-6" plate to plate. That's a general rule of thumb to start with anyway.
