Man, Ryan, I'm jealous you actually got to meet the Rev. in the flesh. It's too bad you're going to miss his show in Austin. My girlfriend got us tickets to his show in Boston for my birthday, and between that upcoming event and your article, it stirred to life some old memories. Seems like all the memories I have surrounding the Reverend are good and just a little fuzzy. I remember when I first moved to Maine, didn't know a soul, much less anyone who even knew who the hell the Reverend Horton Heat was. I was resigning myself to driving down to Portland by myself to go see the show. Just for shits and giggles I asked the cute girl sitting across from me in art class if she wanted to go see it with me. I was surprised when she jumped at the chance. Not only did we have a great time, to top it all off, when we got back to my place it turned out she was wearing a "It's Martini Time" thong she got at a concert of his the previous year. MMMM-boy! Thanks for dredging up some pleasant memories!
