Selling this restored Edelbrock Performer 289 small block Ford intake, and restored original Cal Custom finned small block Ford valve covers. I figure this will be a nice package deal for someone. These have all gone through the aluminum restoration process at Lamar Walden Automotive in Doraville, GA; the pores of the aluminum surface have been peened, giving it a smooth, but not polished, finish--which is what these early intakes and valve covers came with. This is NOT simply glass-beaded. Glass beading leaves an un-natural white luster, with open pores in the surface, which absorb oil and gas, and stain the surfaces. With the pores closed, as these are, gas and oil doesn't absorb into it easily, making for a nice, easy-to-clean surface that will look good for years. All the intake's screw threads are good, and have been chased. There is one water port in the back that has a small chip out of it, but it won't affect sealing. (see pic for detail) Valve covers are original Cal Custom, and have no chips or dings in the fins. I'll throw in a factory aluminum thermostat housing that has also been run through the restoration process. It's pitted in the hose area, but otherwise is nice.
