Hot Rods Report on the confused 34/32 pickup

Wow, that is perfection....very nice job.

 

Over the week of the 4th a lot of the to do list was scratched off ,the exhaustinc most of the interior was wrapped up and tonneau cover.

Dave even test drove the truck around the block a couple of times and the engine preformed great,he had been working frantically trying to finish it up for a reunion in Kentucky.

But,last night he called and found water in the oil,he is really bummed out! HRP

 

I talked to Dave about 20 minutes ago and ask him had he re-torqued the head bolts after he ran it through a few heat cycles and he didn't. HRP

 

That's not good, hopefully it will be a easy fix.

Yes, I always retorque a total of three times.
Sure hope that fixes it.

 

Yep re torque at least 3 times if not more to be sure to be sure. That's a big slab of metal you are trying to seal.

 

Did I miss it? What was the diagnosis of flatty problem?

 

Several cracks,Dave just decided a newer block was the best bet.

What a spectacular truck! I wouldn't change a thing on it, just perfect. Bummer about the cracks but at this point I'd mortgage the house to get it back on the road!
