Hot Rods replacing a lower 1/4 panel on the front of a 64 Chevy c-10 box

Has anyone here experienced this fix on one of these trucks.? Are the 1/4's spot welded on the front of box? The replacement panel goes to about the middle of the wheel well. Any insight would be appreciated. sololobo
