I have a 52 hard top and one of my window flippers has a spring broke and I have been thinking of just removing them. If I remove them will I have a water leak problem or is there something else that needs to be done besides just taking them off?

    Thanks,

Water will leak in, also there will be a huge gap in the roof stainless, it'll look odd. And that's where the weatherstrip sits as well, it'll whistle when you go down the road.

Springs are available for the 55-57 Chevy, not sure if they're available for the earlier ones or not, but it's a real easy fix to swap a couple new springs in, and they're real cheap. Definitely worth the effort.

Ok, thanks. Guess I will look for some new springs. :)
