What I admire almost as much as the fabrication is the fact that you didn't scratch the crap out of the body building the top, with only a tiny bit of masking tape. I'd have eff'd up the paint right off the bat! Perhaps I missed it, but the w/s posts bolt to the original w/s post mounts in the cowl?

I'd hazard a guess and say it's leaning up against the owners shed wall.
Certainly had the possibilities to look ok, but those final pics just don't cut the mustard.

To put it nicely, I am definitely not a fan of this roof, but here are finished photos.

On a sad note, Tracy the OP of this thread passed away a couple months ago, I’m not sure if her husband Clark will be on here to update or not.

@cretin that is such an unfortunate bit of news...I was fearing this with the absence of updates from this dynamic pair...thank you for passing on this sad loss.

Condolences to Clark, the family and friends on her passing...may she rest in peace...

Hopefully Clark will carry on with things here once he feels up to it...we will never forget her many shared accomplishments
they made together here. I am sure she would have liked him to carry on sharing what they built together...and we would too.

    A sad day...

    Regards,
    Stogy

  7. What??? What the heck happened? Very sorry to hear that...

The top looks better to me now that it’s painted to match the car. I like it although I’d probably never take it off so there goes the removable part.

The lesson to be learned is, if something doesn't seem quite right with your body, go to the Dr. to have it checked out, early detection gives you much better odds of beating cancer, I am a 2 time cancer survivor and had early detection with both cases!

Please lets not assume anything about her individual situation. May she rest in peace.

Sorry if it seemed that I was inferring that she ignored warning signs, that was certainly not my intention, just saying that too many of us do ignore symptoms and it can be a big mistake to do so! Lessons can be learned from these tragic events!
