I've been car shopping again and ran across this today. The roof splits down the center and the back window appears to lift out. It looks like they've got a rack in the trunk to carry the panels while cruising sans roof. Sure, the wheels aren't friendly for this forum and I don't know how sturdy this ended up being but....anyway see what ya think.

Whoa now that's a great version of t-tops! Kinda.........So does that stainless window trim just pop out and stow away as well?

I could spend hours pouring over that roof.

Yep, that is bad ass. I love '59 Pimpalas in either hard top or convertible configurations. This is the best of both worlds.

So how exactly does the roof come off. What about the B-pillars are those connected to the roof or are there 4 different pieces?

Can you remove the wheels as fast as the roof?

WOW-what do you do with the back window? What do you do if you drop the back window? Doesn't look like a one man operation. Awesome work.

Neat, catchy, but like others have said doesn't seem practical to me. Having said that the craftmanship and engineering to do that is amazing!
