For the broke ass high school kid, the Spark o Matic was the only choice...I remember having to crawl under the car a lot to "unjamb" the quality linkage, but hey, I had a floor shift...

BTTT. I'm in the process of buying what looks like a NOS Sparkomatic 3 speed shifter and after reading this thread, I wonder how much more Sparkomatic equipment is still hanging around in people's garages. It probably sounds crazy but, I think it would make for a heck of a project to build a car with as much Sparkomatic equipment as could be located. Kind of a non-goldchainers version of a 60's build. And NO, I'm not having flashbacks, I got all that stuff out of my system a long time ago.

Had one in my 49 Chev pickup….put it back to stock column as I didn’t like reaching down. I bent the part back over on the rectangular hole I cut 3 sides.

I don't remember their speed equipment, but I remember their tape decks and equalizers. They had an advertisement showing a Sparkomatic stereo in a Ferrari that always made me laugh.
