PPG has a red oxide version of their epoxy primer that everybody seems to use. I think it's DP 74. (DP 90 is the popular black.) I ran this (the red oxide version) on my Chevy for a couple years. Let me tell you that UV will kill this stuff fast! I drove the car daily, and after about 6mos. the tops of the hood and deck, and the top of the car were noticeably lighter.

Glad to hear that someone knows there are (and always have been) other colors of primer besides black!
