    Thanks for the kind words. Uh oh... I almost forgot that there is a plastic spacer that lowers the steering colu 001.JPG mn.

    Jer. Did you do something to the steering box mount to get the column lower than the stock position?

    I loosened up the mount bolts and pulled down hard for that pic.

    How thick of a spacer are you going to make? And why?

    He has to make room for his hands between the steering wheel and headliner...... big chop :)

    If that spacer isn't there, this isn't the Jesse Lopez coupe. Here's the template in place. 003 (2).JPG I do have to remember to wipe this chrome down before taking a pic.

    No, because the seat is also lowered. Here's enough piece's cut out to make that spacer. 006.JPG 007.JPG

  10. Jer , I know some already asked how thick the spacer would be. It must have been pretty durable being between the dash and column... I can't wait to see the finished spacer.

    Indeed. It's interesting that as many times that I have looked at pics of this car I never noticed the spacer till now. LOL
