I've got a 8.5" posi rear end out of a '94 Caprice Interceptor. At 90,000 miles, the posi unit is well worn. What does it take to rebuild one of these? Thanks.

I've seen what it takes to build a 12-bolt Posi, and I think the design is the same.
It isn't worth buying a whole new unit! If it's a disc-type (not a cone type) you can rebuild it yourself.
Ask the dealership if there are instructions in the factory shop manual for rebuilding the Posi. If there are, get a factory shop manual.
If there aren't, get a repro manual for an early Camaro from Year One and follow the directions. After seeing it done, I can't believe people ever pay $400+ for a new unit instead of rebuilding the old one.
