Way outside of my era, but I seem to remember that '70's Ford medium size car spindles are used to put discs on these Galaxies, and that the Lincoln Versailles version of these is lower than basic Ford version. Somebody here knows this stuff, surely!
I just altered the springs, added drop blocks and tanked this body on the ground. I have some websites on my other computer that could lead you to the right direction as far as spindles etc... From a design standpoint I think the long slab sided bodys look good LEVEL and LOW... I think thats what the original designers had in mind. Heres mine.
i can tell that by looking at your pics again those rims have to be 14"? I run 15", a little bigger rim and tire combo fills up the wheel wells and makes it look tuff- HEY TMAN the H is silent in TUCH haha
this car is totally driveable... i can turn the full radius but i had to pinch the rolled steel fenders to clear the tires... you could trim them with a grinder too i guess. Heres another shot and I offically hijacked Tmans POST.
OMG THAT IS BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was mispelling your name Tuch- Tuck I have to run, but I will be back sometime later on today. Thanks for the help!
hey tman I posted something about the dearch a while back... I did it to the hex- and left a couple leafs out and dropped the ass end another 3" heres a pic of the result. We cold hammered the spring between two WW2 iron jackstands or whatever you wana call em. Chalk the arch out before you start... then hammer move the stands in, hammer, move the stands in, hammer... untill the arch is where you want it for each leaf in the pack. its alot of work... posies sells em for 200 buxx, Tuck
No offense here, I asked TuCH to throw in his .02. Of course Candian .02 is really only worth 2/3s what it is here
I posted a pic of my made from scrap version, then (big apology here, I can't remember which hamber did this) Tthis beautiful rendition was posted. Great work.
