Recently picked up a 12 bolt rear axle to use in a project. Casting # 3959038 but its the stamp on the axle that has me stumped and was hoping someone might be able to help. Stamp is LE 04 28 K. Its the "LE" that I can't seem to reference as to what its from?

Since you just joined today nobody has told you the value in including a photo with your request. So before squirrel gets a chance I'll take the opportunity.

Pontiac GTO '70? What gear ratio does it have, 2:73? Should be open carrier. How wide is it, leaf spring, coils?

Thank you, bought in in New Hampshire, should have suspected that it may have been from Canada.
