    Where: Haifley Brothers Hot Rods
1015 Grand Ave (near Grand Ave. and 10th Ave.)
    Phoenix, AZ

When: July 4th, starts at 8:00am, goes until it gets too damn hot.

It's time again for the Rattlers Car Club / Haifley Brothers Hot Rods annual 4th of July Hot Rod BBQ. This gig has been happening for more than 20 years now, it is THEE place to be for Phoenix area hot rodders on the 4th of July. Bring your hot rod, street rod, custom, motor bike or anything that's cool, old or fast. There is plenty of parking in the yard or out on Grand Ave. Bring drinks (beer, soda, water, etc.), ice, snacks and deserts or meat to throw on the grill. There will be burgers, hot dogs, brats, etc. on hand.

This low key, super cool gig. All are welcome, so put the word out.

As hot as it has been in Phoenix you can throw the meat on the sidewalk and it will cook.
Glad I don't turn wrenches out there anymore. Working outside ,we would keep our hand tools in a bucket of water so they wouldn't burn your hand when you picked them up.

Oh come on! It was only 119 yesterday and 117 today. What's the big deal?

  6. Bound to cool off a little by then.:)
Look at it this way. The days are getting shorter now.

Used to ride my motorcycle to work and it would be cooler when I stopped for a redlight . It was like sticking a blow dryer in front of your face.
One time a customer complained a job was taking too long .I told him to go home and turn the oven on about 400 and stick your hands in there and try to work. He stopped complaining and went back into the air conditioned waiting room.

Good on the Haifley's for continuing this little get together. It's a good time; for those who find it a bit warm, you are welcome to hang out in the beer and ice filled kiddie pools.
