R.I.P. Blown 49

  1. We lost a real hot rodder today. Jim loved his Merc and loved to cruise .He was a wealth of information on flatheads and many older cars. I was lucky enough to be around him as i was growing up and considered him my second father when it came to cars. RIP in peace Jim We'll miss you:(

    Sucks, I knew him and the car. My father worked on his Merc when Butch Bunn had it, also lost my Father last month. Prayers too his family.

  7. OMG no way !!

    Jim was a GREAT guy....we communicated via the HAMB and he was a super nice guy who always willing to offer input and advice.

    My sincerest condolences to his family and close friends.

    RIP Jim.

    he was a great flag waver for the flathead cause.

    Bummer, I met him at the Hot Rod Cinematic in 2008. Nice guy, God speed.

    R.I.P. Cool gut here o the Hamb and Im sure there wasdnt anyone who didnt love that merc!
     
  15. This SUCKS...jim was awesome and his merc is perfect. He knew so much about flatheads and had a crazy collection of flathead tools used to rebuild them. He has helped me out in the past and I have talked to him at a few events - even been to his shop. I am bummed.

  19. REALLY REALLY sad to hear this! He and I talked via the HAMB,all the time,about Mercs. He was a great guy and helped me alot with Merc questions on the Merc Club thread. he will be missed ALOT!!! Hope some keeps his love for his Merc living on....RIP buddy.....
