I purchased a 29' Cowl that will be hooked up to a tub body I'm building. I was planning on buying a media blaster to clean my chassis and other suspension parts before paint. Would it be safe to use the blaster on the cowl? I know heat can build up and warp the metal, but I was hoping since the cowl has so many bends and support pieces maybe I could go slow and get away with it. Thanks for any help.

PS: The car is in Miami, Oklahoma. If there is a reputable person to blast the cowl for me in the area I'd be interested to know his/her name.

If I blast it myself does anyone have suggestions on media to use?

The steel in a 29 cowl band is thick enough to withstand sandblast damage. Even from an amateur.

Use sand or blackjack slag, usually available at Home Depot or Menards in bags.
