Does anybody know where to get brake lining kits? Y'know, the kits with linings & rivets to install them on your own shoes? I've done the search here and looked on the 'net without luck. Checked around locally with a couple of shops that "do brakes", but they just shook their heads.
Mac's sells the lining kits for old Fords...what do you have? they also have the tool to install them http://www.macsautoparts.com/
I'm doing a '56 Fairlane. I found the rivet tool In Mac's for the earlier Fords (it'll work) but they only list relined shoes for my '56 & have a $40 core charge per set +S&H. No linings listed separately. Anybody know where to get linings and rivets? I have several projects & would rather spend the core return S&H on the rivet tool and replace the linings myself. Thanks
