I have a 48 Anglia with a big block. It has the stock front axle that looks kinda weak around the spindles. Anyone know if this could snap under the weight of the BBC, or are the pretty strong. Im not planning any wheelies at the drag strip, but Im going to be driving it. Anyone????

Anglia SPINDLES are what you have to worry about! The Lotus 11 Sports car guys magnaflux them after every race.

  3. Angla axles don't look like they would hold up a stock Angla. I used one under a luggage trailer and pull it all over the country and proved to be pretty tuff but I used 35 ford spindles.

  4. lots of the guys in the 60's used stock fronts

When we raced are Anglia we had the stock spindle with spindle mount 12 spokes and never had any issues. We were ranning a 351 Cleveland in it.
