how bout this http://cgi.ebay.com/Avon-Glass-Bott...222810316QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270222810316 my grandpa has a 56 flight hawk but hes got an old coffee can
I'm going with this System 1 oil filter canister. I can't find anything with horizontal fins! a friend machined a billet plate and very cool 1"-12 bolt. Kind of a shame to turn it downward Now I'll drill and tap for a SS street el w/ a copper tube to the bottom and probably copper tube to the overflow on the radiator. Definitely need a tricker way to mount it, not liking the worm clamp.
Mine is going to be an old steel lunch box that I found in the woods years ago with a logging co. logo on the side. Ill just weld the land the body together
I wrapped it around an old MIG wire spool that didn't make it to the trash yet I cut one edge off of the spool so it was just a flat part and then the center column so I could get the wind off when i was done, then wrapped it around a few times, then gently pulled it apart. The in & out bends were just done by hand.
So I'm confused! I see puke cans here on the firewall. Can I mount this thing anywhere? I've got a spot down low on the firewall that would be a good place. Does the can need to be at a certain height? I always thought you had to put them as close as possible to the radiator. Hell, this learning something new is giving me a headache!!
Mine dont have any coolant ?????????????? but I am going to add a puke catcher for looks anyway because thats what all the cool cars are doing lol/jk
You want to install it as high as you can, and as close as you can to the radiator. That's from the manufacturer's book of rules.
