1931 Talbot Berline - this was pre Tony Lago's involvement and came out of the Sunbeam Darracq Talbot conglomerate....

The "Round Door Rolls" (as it's known) is owned by the Peterson. The chassis is a '25 but the body was built in the early-mid 30s if I remember correctly. I went to the preview night where the curator of the museum, Leslie Kendall, spoke about it. My dad's a docent there, I'll ask him for more details about it.

Striking colour scheme on a Willys-Knight - though without the American early Deco trick of using a bright, contrasting colour on the underside of the fenders. Has anyone got any examples of that?

Packard 845, by Waterhouse. The Woodlites alone qualify it for this thread!

The Rolls is probably too Streamline, but the gold ornamentation is worth a look.

Also a bit later, but look at the trim on this Bugatti:

And the colour scheme on this Packard, by Le Baron:

  11. Now thats some brave design for designs sake. "I know Jacques - Let´s slap a really bold black stripe down the body!" "Yeah!" (or rather "Mais Qui!").

    Interesting front fender treatment.

Dietrich, on unknown chassis; not entirely happy:

Shit fellas, I have a shop full of cars that meet what you're doing. 1002 Packard Conv. Victoria (production Dietrich body), and a 34 1106 Runabout. Niether are completed so no pics but I can find some later. Least we forget, the 40-41 Continentals harkened to those times albeit a decade later. The long nose, short deck, low waistline, chopped, channeled and boxed...wow, like a 50s custom!

Let's not forget the in-house design of Mr. Macauley's speedster (coutesy of Packardinfo.com)

Here's a 1929 Ruxton, next to a same year Pontiac. Factory chopped and channeled art deco?
