 installing a mustang 2 front end on my 51 chevy with power rack.I've been told that the steering will be too touchy with the chevy power steering pump. Also was told 84-88 t-bird rack would be better or should I just use a manual rack?? Any one know the way to go here ?Thanks for any help.

YES.. you need to cut the preasure down to around 800 psi...this can be done several ways...Borgeson uses a shim kit on the valve...heidts makes an adjustable valve...rbs makes a new screw in valve...they all work...the t bird rack is a different ratio than the mustangs but not by much..the preasure still needs to be reduced...if I can be of any help call me at Borgeson I will be glad to answer any questions...BC

I used a later model Mustang rack, I think it is 88-89 on my '35 sedan and with the stock GM high pressure pump it works perfectly. Fatman gave me the info on it and they were right on. No need to cut the pressure down and it is NOT touchy at all. I have 10,000 miles on it now.
