I tried a search but couldn't find the 'shaved-door-handles-for-dummies' answers.

I'm shaving the door handles on my 2-door 57 Ranchwagon and have decided to put in bear claw latches. It's all new to me so I'm having a hard time making an informed decision and trying to understand wiring, cables, solenoids etc.

    - Has anyone used the bear claws with the built-on actuator?
    - Should I just get the standard bear claw?
    - do I need poppers?
    - what is the best kind of kit to get?
    - is it easier/better to mount the latch on the piller, pin on the door?

    thanks in advance...

See http://www.rockyhinge.com/ for bear claws with built in actuators.

I have them on my car tied to my alarm / ignition and they work great. Gary

Thanks Gary, I was looking at Rocky Hinge.

Can I ask, how are they set up with the alarm? - that's what I would like to do. Do you have a diagram of the install by any chance...?

    thx
